Two thirds of Madagascar is
underlain by old crystalline basement rocks which hold considerable potential
for gold, chrome, platinum group metals and base metals. The country has
recently been the subject of a number of well funded geological mapping and
geophysical programmes which have produced some very exciting data sets to aid
modern exploration.
Although unfortunate, the recent
political turmoil in Madagascar
presents an opportunity to acquire highly prospective projects at a significant
discount. This political risk based model has provided Clarity with superior
opportunities in Sierra Leone
and more recently in Zimbabwe.
