Clarity Capital Corporation's investment in interest is in 4
primary areas:
- Clarity Minerals Ltd: Mineral exploration and development
- Clarity Life Sciences Ltd: Health and Life Sciences
- Clarity Energy Services Ltd: Oil and gas services
- Clarity Energy Ltd: Oil and gas exploration and production
Each division
is headed by experienced professionals in their respective
fields who establish or develop, structure and fund selected
businesses. Clarity's initial at-risk capital is $2-3
million dollars per investment and is funded primarily by its
Principals. Clarity plays an active role at the
Board of Directors level and assists management with operational
matters as needed.
Thereafter,
Clarity attracts additional private investment
followed by institutional equity to participate on a project by
project basis. Without exception, Clarity retains a significant
ongoing interest in the invested companies as they mature.
Clarity Minerals Ltd. (Contact: Allan Dolan)
The
Clarity Minerals division applies a methodical, market driven approach to
selecting, launching, and advancing globally based mineral
opportunities. Drawing on its dedicated offices and personnel located in
England, South Africa, and Canada as well as a number of preferred service
providers, projects of merit are identified, selected and funded. The projects
are funded to acquire land tenure and conduct initial exploration before
inviting participation by a select group of private and institutional investors.
Project progress is constantly monitored to determine the most favorable timing
and strategy for public listing, joint venture, or sale.
Clarity Life Sciences Ltd. (Contact: Mark Carlson)
Clarity Life Sciences
invests in life science development companies that are developing new
commercial uses for leading edge scientific and engineering technology
in biotechnology applications.
Promising technologies in human health are considered, with the
exception of
clinical drug discovery programs. Investee companies and founding
entrepreneurs demonstrate exceptional promise in converting innovative
and proprietary science into commercial uses within a short time
horizon, typically about 3 years. Ideally, investees will have
achieved an initial level of scientific or commercial validation from
such parties as regulators, trials, R&D testing, collaborations or
prospective customers. Companies should have access to core technology
commercialization rights or patents.
Clarity Energy Services Ltd. (Contact: Richard
Seto)
Clarity Energy Sciences funds new technological advancements that service the
oil and gas sector. Companies of interest provide promising solutions to
challenging down-hole drilling problems, new methods that enhance exploration,
extraction, collection, processing, or monitoring of oil and gas resources or
related environmental issues. Prospective investments should have existing, or
ability to generate, near term cash flow. Uses of proceeds from an initial
investment may be used to fund prototypes, but the business plan should reserve
considerable capital for market penetration.
Clarity Energy Ltd. (Contact: Allan Dolan)
Clarity Energy is targeting primarily
non-North American oil and gas assets where its risk capital can be
deployed to bridge opportunities for liquidity in the public market
or via acquisition.
