VP Base Metals; CEO of Whetstone Minerals

Paul joined Clarity in March 2008 and is currently President and CEO of Whetstone Minerals. In his 21-year career, he has served at senior and executive levels on major and junior companies.  Most recently, Paul acted as Vice President, Exploration for a Canadian public company focused in Scandinavia. Paul developed and managed local business units in Norway and Sweden while supervising and implementing the company's projects.  Paul's leadership resulted in the discovery of a VMS belt.

Paul developed a regional project portfolio and managed advanced exploration leading to the discovery of several nickel laterite deposits in Guatemala.  He subsequently managed the resource estimate work that culminated in the sale of these assets to BHP Billiton. Prior to that, he established Falconbridge Brasil Ltda., Falconbridge's exploration arm in South America, and successfully implemented PGE, Ni and Cu-Au projects focused in Brazil which led to the discovery of a new nickel laterite belt. His exploration experience extends to South Africa and includes being part of the team that discovered the William Lake Ni sulphide deposit in Canada. Paul has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Carleton University.
