Antech met many representatives of Zimbabwe’s mining industry at this years Mining, Engineering and Transport Expo held from 21 – 23 July. The trade show, themed “Exploring our Hidden Depths”, is held annually at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Fair in Bulawayo and is the biggest of its kind in Zimbabwe. Exhibitors included mining, engineering and transport companies, together with general suppliers of goods and services to these sectors. The show was significantly larger than in recent years, with 189 exhibitors displaying in 2010 compared to 99 in 2009 which demonstrated the upsurge in interest and increased activity in the industry. Antech was pleased by the number of visitors to its stand, which included representatives of leading mining companies requiring accredited assay services for their projects in Zimbabwe.
